Plan B Energy selected to expand the previously installed solar transmission line camera project. (Below: Solar Array Camera System over FirstNet Cellular System | August 19, 2019) The expansion will employ high resolution station cameras, both thermal and video imaging, from Systems With Intelligence (SWI) and Sierra Wireless IP modems for comms to operations. Separate locations will be combined into one cloud-based viewing and alarming interface provided by SWI. Functionality is supported on multiple operating systems.
Plan B Energy has established a VAR relationship with H2Scan. PBES now offers turnkey purchase and installation of the PBS-H2 Hydrogen sensor. Gridscan chip-based technology uses palladium-nickel alloys with an advanced proprietary materials coating to protect the sensor, enabling it to measure hydrogen in oil or gas phase of power transformers and ancillary equipment. This solid-state sensing element is hydrogen specific, insensitive to other transformer gases and can be immersed directly in the transformer oil during normal operation to measure hydrogen levels continuously.
The PBS-H2 platform has no consumable components or any degradation of the sensor, does not require carrier or calibration gases to maintain accuracy and has a theoretically unlimited useful life.

Plan B Energy Solutions developed a portable camera system for emergency applications. The system employs 4 fixed cameras installed at 14 feet from the foundation control box. The system communicates camera data via cellular modem to the cloud application. The system has battery backup options for up to 7 days functionality. The initial contract was for delivery of 24 systems.
Plan B Energy was awarded the FPL annual contract to install between 7 to 14 cameras with broadband backhaul at multiple substations. This is "phase II" of the project and was awarded after the successful completion of 82 sites in 2021. The Camera system incorporates cloud-based support.
Plan B energy Solutions awarded contract to install 2800 UbiGrid Tilt and Vibration Monitors. (TVM) enables utilities to manage critical utility pole assets, providing data on pole tilt and movement, as well as impact and vibration levels. TVM gives grid operators a full view of utility pole fleets, enabling remote identification of structural pole.
Plan B energy Solutions introduces a portable DGA cart based on the Serveron TM8 instrument. Communication can be through various wireless mediums such as Cellular or Radio. The mobile cart has pneumatic tires for ease of movement within a gravel yard and flexible oil lines for easy connection to a transformer. PBES also offers turnkey delivery, installation and maintenance of the entire system
Plan B energy Solutions awarded contract to do complete installation of 68 DGA monitors for FPL including foundation, high wind impact stands and end-to-end communications. This is the 3rd year of contract DGA installs
